Safa Rayaneh is a multi-national
company, which provides GIS-based solutions for urban planning and urban management. Its core team was included IT professionals and urban planners, that they formed the company in 1996, in order to develop a software solution to cover
IT aspect of urban services which are provided by municipalities to citizens.
With its dedication to use
modern technology and to help large governmental organizations to deliver
services faster, better and without the need of citizens' physical presence, Safa
Rayaneh has set its vision as boosting clarity in governmental systems and
ease of access to public works for citizens.
Now, with over a decade
experience in providing IT solutions for urban services, we acquire both
technology expertise and domain knowledge. Currently, the company has a personnel
pool of over 1,200 people, with expertise in IT, BPM, GIS, document management,
which covers throughout the path of getting an urban service digitized. For any
given project, we form a focus group, including all necessary people, to
perform all required steps of system adoption and maintenance.
Our key product is SARA Virtual City. We have gathered tools
from Microsoft, Google, Autodesk and ESRI, as well as technologies Web, GPRS, OpenGIS,
SMS and RDBMS together, to build a state of the art application. SARA Virtual
City 7.0, as our latest version, takes the flat data and 2D maps to a 3D
world, helping "city" to get electronic and as "virtual city";
a place that can be a box office for all urban services.

Accomplishments
The first version of SARA was
implemented in capital city of Gorgan. It took us two years to get our biggest
project in the city of Mashhad. After successful implementation of SARA in one
of regional municipalities of Mashhad as a pilot project, other municipalities step
forward to adopt it. It was SARA version 6.0 which was implemented in 40 cities
and more than 60 regional municipalities and some metropolises like Mashhad,
Shiraz and Karaj. SARA covers more than 1,500 km2 and serves over 14 Millions people.
In processing archives of residential
properties of Mashhad, during the implementation of SARA, 1,300,000 files were
categorized and were merged into 750,000 digital files. This phase alone helped
the municipality to find and finalize 187,500 missing and incomplete files. There
were also 130,000 commercial properties that were classified during the
process.
Future
As a successful
multi-national company, with sufficient experience and expertise, we intend to
extend our product and services to global market. Our first target is Asia,
Middle East and CIS. Next, we'll expand to Europe and our final target is to be
pervasive around the globe.
We believe our product and

governmental bodies and private sector, that create, plan, manage and deliver
urban service to citizens. Therefore, we foresee a big market and huge
potential ahead of us.
