Safa Rayaneh will participate in CeBIT CIS exhibition hold in Baku - Azerbaijan - you can visit us at Iran Pavilion - Stand No. F27 Date : 09-12 Jul.07 CIS zone includes 15 countries and a population over 300
million. Most of this population is Russian speaking and about 230 million
directly use Russian as the first language, and due to the fact that most of
the scientific resources are in Russian, this language will remain the common
language of CIS at least for more than 100 years and won’t be replaced by
English.
Beside this area, in many East European countries like
Serbia & Montenegro, Hungary, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia and Romania Russian
is the second language used after their local languages. So as a common
language, Russian also covers more than 100 million people there.
So, due to this coverage of Russian language in Asia and
Eastern Europe, unable to speak English, CIS countries have most focused market
on computer and other commercial fields. Furthermore, the level of education in
this area is also mentionable, which is around 60% (university education), and
also the commercial growth in this area is impressively high (around 6%), and
the usage of updated technologies like mobiles and internet is about 62% and
35%.
However, there is the lack of an exhibition for ITC,
communication, digital equipments and systems, etc., in this region, which is
undeniable. It is for sure these countries will share this technology in such
exhibitions, like CeBIT.
But is any of existing CeBIT exhibitions capable to fulfill
this necessity? Paying more attention to Turkey CeBIT exhibition, we
found that more than 70% of the exhibitors were from Turkey itself and only 5%
from East Europe.
On the other hand, CeBIT china seems not to be suitable for
area, due to China’s population and it’s distance between China and this area,
and by a careful look at this exhibition we found that only 1% of the
exhibitors have been from this area. Also by a glance at CeBIT Germany we found
that even in this exhibition, the share of CIS area is not a remarkable
outstanding number.
In comparison with the exhibitions above, CeBiTCiS will enjoy
a various range of advantages. The low expenses of stay and transport and free
customs (no custom charges) and being near to Middle East countries like Iran,
Afghanistan and Arab countries, and these countries’ interest in cooperation
with CIS countries, will be effective potentials for organizing such exhibition
in this area.
Other commercial basements like railways, subways and
natural resources like oil, Iron and Aerospace power of Russia and Kazakhstan
will also confirm the necessity of organizing such exhibition here. The growth
of military market and the increasing use of electronics in this field
(military 700 Billion, oil 400 Billion, and Iron 200 Billion dollars) is
reasonable enough to have a CeBIT exhibition in this area.
Consequently, any company taking part in the CeBiTCiS or the
other coming exhibitions in CIS is estimated to benefit the pure and let’s say
virgin market of CIS zone. As the other CeBIT exhibitions all over the world do
not actually cover this market (only 6% of CIS market take part in CeBIT China,
Germany and Turkey), and due to the language and history, of which CIS
countries are in common, not only CeBiTCiS do not interfere with other similar
exhibitions, it will open up a new and innovative circumstance over the zone,
where companies would not lose their interests.
